Traditional building of Japan, has been built in a combination of wood.

① KOSHIKAKE KAMA TSUGI　（腰掛け鎌継ぎ）
This TSUGITE is what I will be most frequently used.

②KOSHIKAKE ARI TSUGI　（腰掛け蟻継ぎ）

This time, I would like to introduce about the tools of the Japanese carpenter.
When we build a building, we use a variety of tools.
Hammer, Saw, Chalk Line, and shock driver...So many tools exist.
In Japan too, Japan own tool exists.

Japanese carpenter particularly cherish "the three tools"
It's ... "TYOUNA" "SUMITSUBO" "SASHIGANE".

"TYOUNA" is a tool similar to a hatchet.

"TYOUNA" can cut the surface of the tree,and can to engrave the pattern.
But it is not used a lot recently.
Because the machine has spread.
Traditional carpenter and temple carpenter, uses even now.

"SUMITSUBO" is the "Chalk Line".

We do not buy the "SUMITSUBO".
It will make on your own.
As yourself easy to use, I make on your own.
By doing so, it will rise the carpenter technology.
It is one of the training.

"SASHIGANE" is can mark, can draw a line, and can use that to determine the angle.

Module that Japanese carpenter uses is unique.
It is not even "inch" or "cm".
